Green Way EcoMart's solar power system
designed and installed by Eric at EcoSolar
A solar array of fourteen Evergreen brand panels converts sunlight into as much as 2500 watts of direct current electricity.
Our grid-tied solar system will provide as much as 75% of our power needs -- and sometimes run our electric meter backwards!
The solar panel mounting racks by Unirac have legs that can be adjusted for the best angle to the sun depending on the season.
Our inverter (big gray box in the middle) was made by PVPowered in Bend. It converts the DC power from the array into AC power for use in the building.
From left: the solar power meter and AC disconnect, inverter, DC disconnect, and electric company meter.
Solar power comes to East Main!
